The Romney Inaugural Gala

January 2, 2003

Lea, Kristina, and I met up in town earlier and headed over to the World Trade Center together. Zack had been there all day doing prep work and came out to bring us in the back way. He set us up with volunteer passes that got us anywhere in the building, even though he wouldn't let us do any real work. This ice sculpture was in the first bar we stopped at. Ice sculptures rule.

He had to get back to his duties quickly, so the three of us made our way through the different areas, pausing to sample the drinks and desserts we were offered.

Pretty soon we ran into friends (including Matt) and ended up hanging out with them for most of the night.

Eventually we went back to the main room where we ran into Chanel, Justin, Helene, Phillip, Andrea, Dave, Pat and the rest of the Mass. College Republican crew.

When things started slowing down there we went to the mellow lounge to dance for a while, and then to the volunteer's afterhours.
